BBC Asian Network reports on Dance Wells sessions at Harefield Heart & Lung Hospital

Dance Well is Akademi’s three-year community participation project funded by Big Lottery Fund to promote better well-being and happiness in older adults in London who are facing poor health.

Dance Well provides regular opportunities for adults to attend dance and movement sessions. The project’s creative approach aims to inspire hundreds of older men and women to dance and move working in community organisations, care homes, day centres, hospitals and with organisations working to reach isolated individuals.

So far Dance Well has worked in partnership with Harefield Heart & Lung Hospital and Camden Carers service – with many more to come over the three-year project.
