Staycation/Vacation: "Exciting, uncharted territory"

Staycation/Vacation, which took place at Rich Mix in July, featured new solo works by Kesha Raithatha and Archana Ballal and a duet performed by Jaina Modasia and Vidya Patel.

Works presented:

Kesha Raithatha: Ashtapadi – Lalita Lavang, a narrative work in kathak style and Traces, the result of a 2015 CHOREOGATA commission from Akademi.

Archana Ballal: As Small as a World and as Large as Alone, a new contemporary work.

Vidya Patel and Jaina Modasia: Two by Two, choreographed by Hari Krishnan.

Dance in the Mix presents Staycation

A presentation of work from students from George Greens School and Langdon Park preceded the performance. Both schools worked with professional choreographers over nine weeks to create performances based on the British Seaside.

Choreography for George Greens School was been led by Kamala Devam and Honey Kalaria, and for Langdon Park School by Elena Catalano and Maryam Shakiba.
