Ageing Artfully
2012
Akademi launched Ageing Artfully in 2012, an initiative to give the older adults in Camden a chance to revive and re-discover themselves through creative activities. The project explored themes including: Cooking for Health with celebrity Chef Manju Malhi; Walking for Health with innovative Bollywalk and Dance walks by Khavita Kaur; and Dance and Movement workshops unveiling the mystery of yoga with Krishnaa Devi.
Workshops ran from September 2012 – July 2013 and were funded by the Community Learning Innovation Fund (CLIF), the Skills Funding Agency, & NIACE.
