Artifact: Ageing Artfully Recipe Book

A brochure from a community initiative that brought together cooking and exercising. It contains simple exercises demonstrated by members of the Ageing Artfully participants, and a collection of recipes written by participants and professional chef Manju Malhi.

Ageing Artfully was a creative venture which brought together members of a community through walking, gardening, foraging, fishing, cooking and exercising. The recipes are healthy and varied, and make the most of the culinary expertise of the participants.

Ageing Artfully ran between February – April 2013 and involved Bengali Workers’ Association, Kings’ Cross Brunswick Centre and The Abbey Community Centre. Akademi has a rich history of community-facing projects and educational resources. Visit our Learning & participation page for information on past and present initiatives.
