River Journeys
Schools project, 1994
Inspired by the River Ganges in India, River Journeys was Akademi’s (then known as Academy of Indian Dance) theme-based project for schools and colleges, exploring the mythological, geographical and cultural aspects of the river and how they can be used as the starting point for dance. The project had dance workshops, cross-arts residencies and INSETS for schools led by professional artists.
