Akademi at 40 | Join the Akademi Associated programme

Join Akademi to celebrate 40 inspiring years, include your event in the Akademi Associated programme.

2019 is Akademi’s 40th anniversary year and we want to celebrate with the UK South Asian Dance community.

We are inviting artists to submit information on London-based events (performances/talks/workshops, etc) that they are planning between April 2019 and April 2020. These events will be featured on Akademi’s website reflecting the breadth and richness of South Asian dance in the UK.

This exercise will also provide our team an opportunity to become aware of your plans, and consider them whilst curating Akademi produced events this year, should an appropriate opportunity arise.

By including your event in the ‘Akademi Associated’ programme you will:

– benefit from extending your reach to Akademi’s UK-wide network.
– join a cohort of emerging and professional artists celebrating South Asian dance this year.
– get featured under ‘Akademi Associated’ event on our website and social media.
– see what others are doing and explore opportunities for collaboration
– receive a specially designed celebratory logo.
– get your events noticed

Terms and Conditions

• All submissions to Akademi Associated will be read by Akademi’s marketing team and we reserve the right to not publish events submitted, we will get in touch with artists with our reasoning should this be the case.
• By ticking the confirmed event box and detailing your event in the ‘Confirmed event…’ sections of the submission form you are confirming you are happy for your event to be promoted publicly by us.
• If you submit a confirmed event you are responsible for ensuring that information submitted is accurate and up to date.
• You must ensure that the information and images submitted are owned by you or that you are entitled or permitted to use them. Image credit should be provided.
• You retain your ownership rights to your content, but you are required to grant us a limited licence to use, store and copy that content and to distribute it on our social media platforms.
