Reach Out and Reveal | March Update

Our four amazing South Asian Dance Artists came together on Wednesday 14 February for a Dance Lab. The purpose of the day was to share ideas and approaches and explore new ideas and themes that may be helpful in unlocking potential and inspiring creativity.

Anusha, Emiko, Priyanka and Seema were all incredibly positive about the day and stressed how useful it was to them to share and learn from each other. Being able to bring artists together to work collaboratively in this way will benefit the children and young people we are working with at Papillon House and Sherwood Hill Schools enormously.

As we approach the halfway point of Akademi’s Reach Out and Reveal explore and test project we would like to say ‘thank you’ to The Paul Hamlyn Foundation for funding this very valuable piece of work.  We have already learned so much from it and the feedback from school staff continues to be amazing on the impact we are having on their learners.
